BIOGRAPHY

Michelle Atkinson, CMP is the Program Administrator for the Ken Kennedy Institute. Michelle is responsible for implementing and administering the vision, strategy, and goals of the Institute. Prior to joining the Ken Kennedy Institute, she coordinated events in the nonprofit and academic sectors. Michelle is a native Houstonian and received her B.S. in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, two kids, family, and friends. Michelle started working at Rice in 2014, and she joined Staff Council in 2023 to become more engaged with the Rice community as well as provide advocacy and support for staff across the university.
