The Staff Engagement Committee is dedicated to fostering connections across campus and increasing awareness of Staff Council through thoughtful and engaging events. This committee is responsible for organizing the annual Ice Cream Social, a beloved tradition that brings staff together in a casual and welcoming environment. Additionally, the committee collaborates with leadership to brainstorm and develop new events and initiatives that align with budgetary guidelines while enhancing community engagement. Examples of potential programs include a Welcome Ambassador Program, designed to support new staff as they transition into the Rice community.
