The Professional Development Subcommittee is dedicated to expanding access to growth and learning opportunities for Rice University staff. This group collaborates with the Communications Subcommittee to keep the Professional Development website updated with resources, ensuring employees have a centralized hub for career and skill-building opportunities. Additionally, the committee works closely with university partners to explore ways to make professional development more accessible across campus. The subcommittee also manages the Staff Council Webinar Series, providing staff with opportunities to learn from experts on a variety of topics. As needed, the subcommittee proposes new initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing staff learning, career advancement, and professional enrichment.
