BIOGRAPHY

Joel Thompson joined the Moody Center for the Arts as its inaugural Deputy Director in 2016. In that role, Joel oversees the budget, operations, and day to day management of the Moody. He spent the previous 15 years with the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Marketing from that institution. He joined Rice Staff Council in 2024 and looks forward to advocating for Rice’s amazing staff population.
