BIOGRAPHY

Amy McCaig joined Rice in 2011. In her current role, she manages media relations for Rice’s School of Social Sciences, Kinder Institute for Urban Research, Shepherd School of Music and university government relations. She received a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. and M.P.A. from the University of Illinois at Springfield. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, family and friends; traveling; volunteering for Rodeo Houston and being part of the Houston chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She joined Staff Council in 2023 to further engage with and advocate for university staff.
